Dr. Mike Murphy opened the first veterinary hospital in Olympia, WA in 1992 and has grown the family of hospitals with a focus on practicing great medicine and building a fantastic culture. Prior to founding People, Pets & Vets, Dr. Murphy practiced veterinary medicine in Italy as a Captain in the US Army. Dr. Murphy has always been very involved in his community. He is a founding father at the Griffin School Foundation where his daughters went to school and has served on the board of the Humane Society and is very involved in the signature event, Run like a Dog. He is the international services committee co-chair for the South Puget Sound Rotary Club and has been a champion for clean water, goat and sheep projects in Uganda. He has served on two mission trips to Uganda. Dr. Murphy has also served as a member and term President of the St. Peter Hospital Foundation since 2006.
Dr. Murphy is excited to see People, Pets & Vets flourish. He married his high school sweetheart, has 2 daughters, 4 grandkids and 3 dogs. He enjoys skiing, boating, cycling and family time. He’s follows football for University of WA, Auburn and the Seahawks.

Canine and Feline Practice
Dr. Raj Singh joined the PPV family in 2020 as the Medical Director of three great practices in San Jose and Sunnyvale, CA, including a cat only practice. He serves as the Regional Medical Director in California as a clinical resource to our Medical Directors and Associate Veterinarians. Dr. Singh is a board-certified specialist in canine and feline practice and represents the Canine Feline Diplomates on the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners Council of Regents.
Dr. Singh also enjoys caring for (as a general practitioner) rabbits, small mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians.
Dr. Singh has been active in the local veterinary community. He is a Past President of the Santa Clara Valley Veterinary Medical Association, and was also on the advisory committee for the San Jose Animal Care center while they planned their expansion. He enjoys mentoring veterinary students and new associates. He has a special interest in veterinary dentistry.
Dr. Singh was born in Chicago area and grew up in Indiana. He now lives on a ranch in San Jose and enjoys spending time with his wife Melissa and their two daughters, running with their two dogs Lacey and Howie, or relaxing with their three cats Lily, Teddy and Zara. He also competes in triathlons, mountain biking and running events when not recovering from an injury or sometimes even when injured.

Brett is the Director of Practice Acquisitions in Texas and surrounding states for People, Pets & Vets. He is passionate about helping practice owners achieve their goals and making them feel like a part of the PPV family. Brett joined PPV in December 2018 after 11 years in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry where he developed strategic relationships that helped practices thrive and exceed their growth targets. He has been a part of numerous leadership teams throughout his career and couldn’t be more excited about the future growth of PPV.
Brett currently lives in Richardson, TX, and has been married for over10 years to his amazing wife, Cindy. They have a fun, energetic 7-year-old named Hank and a very lucky goldendoodle they rescued named Hitch.

Garrett has spent 8+ years in the animal health industry in various roles. He most recently held the role of Territory Business Manager at Zoetis and prior to this, spent 7 years at Eli Lilly in sales and marketing roles. Prior to his time in animal health, he spent 4 years in the real estate deal making world. He is excited to join the PPV family to continue working with veterinary practices and provide business solutions to increase their productivity and profitability.
He and his wife, Am, are high school sweethearts and have been married for 18 years. They have lived all around the country and now call the Olympia area home. His family is no stranger to animal health as his identical twin brother is a veterinarian in Idaho and he has a deep love for animals. He currently has 3 cat sons, Alby “Shmalby,” Bobbin “Wobs,” and Teddy and also cares for 2 strays Randy Serena and Eddy. In his spare time, Garrett enjoys spending time outside in the mountains, at the lake and sky diving.

Kristen is the Director of Practice Acquisitions for Colorado, Arizona, Utah, New Mexico and Nevada. She comes to PPV with 15+ years of experience in the animal health industry including working in small animal veterinary clinics, nutrition consulting for a variety of species and most recently Territory Manager for a veterinary distribution company. She is excited to work with veterinary hospital owners who are looking for a family atmosphere for their clinic and team.
Kristen lives in Parker, CO with her 9 year old boy/girl twins and their 4 legged family members Killian the Black Lab, Reggie the Great Dane, Pumpkin the orange cat and Landi the Hanoverian (pictured).

Heather is a member of several charitable organizations that serve her local community. In her free time, she loves to host family and friends which makes her house seem like Grand Central Station. She also stays active with dog walks and taking her kids on new adventures. She is married with two kids and a Goldendoodle, Chewy.

Rodger is the Chief Development Officer at People, Pets & Vets and leads a team focused on new practice acquisition. His team is focused on driving personalized interactions and a flexible process for our new hospitals. Rodger has more than 25 years of leadership experience, with the last 9 years in the healthcare industry. In previous roles, Rodger served as Chief Development Officer for Physicians Endoscopy and Vice President of Acquisitions and Development for Ambulatory Surgical Centers of America (ASCOA), an ASC multi-specialty development and management company. His career has focused on increasing profitability, creating new revenue streams, building organizations, increasing operational efficiency and managing change in complex and high growth environments. Rodger is focused on the growth of our organization by bringing new hospitals into the People, Pets & Vets family.
Rodger is extremely excited about growing our family of clinics. Rodger has been married for over 25 years, has two children and two Goldendoodles, Abby and Zoey.

Michele joined People, Pets and Vets in 2018 as the Chief Financial Officer and brings 25 years of experience in Finance and Accounting in growth-driven companies. Michele has a passion for joining companies who have a huge desire to go places they have never been and building the strategy, teams, systems, and processes that will support increasingly complex organizations and decision making. Michele has spent the last 19 years in Healthcare; working in both the IT and Services verticals. Most recently Michele was the CFO at Imagine Health; attacking the status quo of healthcare delivery through high-performance networks. Prior to that, Michele spent 15 years at AdvancedMD, a SaaS software company, joining the company pre-product, pre-revenue, and driving the financial strategy and teams that created a Healthcare IT market leader resulting in three successful exits; for the Venture Capitalists, Private Equity owner and the Strategic owner. While at AdvancedMD, Michele also spent two years in Operations, incubating a new Services business line. Michele started her career with EY and is a Certified Public Accountant. Michele enjoys paying it forward in her community and currently serves on boards for the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, the University of Utah Executive MBA Advisory and the Judge Memorial Women’s Lacrosse Team.
Michele is so excited to be a part of an incredible team of people, who want to reach new heights and make a difference in the communities we serve. Michele has two children and a Miniature Goldendoodle; Penny. Michele’s favorite pastime is spending summers on the lake with her family.
