Dr. Tony LopezFrisco, TXMy experience with PPV has been wholly positive. Six years ago, I built my veterinary hospital from the ground up and now I find myself with a great practice, but also a high degree of stress in my life and very little free time to enjoy life outside of practice ownership. I began to weigh the prospect of selling now vs. continuing years of stressful practice ownership. PPV has been transparent and open about the entire process. Everyone I had spoken with demonstrated nothing but integrity and has been trustworthy in their promises. PPV takes a “hands-off” approach compared to other corporations that may require many changes to take place. From an outside perspective and to pet owners, there have been no “changes” in our practice at all. I was finally able to go back to practicing medicine and enjoying more of that interaction vs worrying about day-to-day management headaches and worries. The transition also allowed us to offer benefits at extremely reasonable rates. This was becoming more and more important in attracting and retaining great employees. I now have more financial freedom and security in my own and family future which is probably the primary reason owners take the risks we do to start our practice. I am happy to report eight months later that I made the right decision. I know that PPV want their owners to stay happy and continue making their practices profitable into the future.

Dr. Kirk EsmondCarrollton, TXI chose PPV because of the people (I met with Brett Hallman, DPA, Rodger Baca, CDO, and Mike Murphy, Founder, and CEO). The PPV philosophy and story really resonated with me. Just as important, PPV was interested in me, and the journey of my practice. They listened to me chronologically describe how I started my practice with four employees and grew the facility to a five-doctor hospital. The positive attitude, practice philosophy, and the ability for me to continue the culture of my clinic was very important to me. The assurance that PPV would continue with my outside lab, pricing structure, and scheduling, along with keeping my clinic management team played a big part in my decision. I also liked that Josey Ranch would be the first PPV practice in Texas, which was a bonus value of the acquisition. Every single person I have met or spoken with at PPV expresses gratitude for my partnership. PPV has been receptive to all my requests through the transition and handles each and every situation promptly and with professionalism. The supportive resources are everything! The marketing group immediately published brochures for my practice, redesigned and updated the website, and that’s only the beginning. PPV provides resources for HR, IT, Finance and Accounting, Operations and Strategic Planning. And that doesn’t even touch on the supportive company-wide network of veterinarians who are leaders in the field. I have every confidence that any need will be rightly cared for by PPV.

Dr. Jamie WhittenburgLubbock, TXWhen I started to explore options for selling my practice, I knew I wanted a partner in business. I was seeking a company that would care about my practice, my staff, and my clients and would work with me towards common goals. I could not be happier that I chose PPV. Throughout the process of selling, the transition, and continuing into day to day operations, PPV has been so wonderful to work with. They have always delivered on their promises and they stand ready to support me and my practice in whatever way we need. Having worked for a large veterinary corporation as an associate, I knew I wanted to avoid the impersonal feel and stringent policies that can be encountered in that environment. PPV has proven to be a true partner in every sense of the word, providing help and support in the form of IT support, fulfilling clinic needs, marketing, and benefits for my employees. The support PPV provides is invaluable but they are also very respectful of each clinic’s individual culture and they do not change or disrupt it. After selling to PPV I have much less stress, more free time, and an even more successful practice.

Dr. Jennifer KoenigSnohomish, WAI have been a part of People, Pets & Vets, and Snohomish Station Animal Hospital since 2015. As a part of PPV I have the ability to focus on veterinary medicine and customer service while relying on the service center to care for all the business-related functions. The entire service center team is always responsive and helpful when my team has needs. I am part of a greater team with PPV and always feel welcome to bring new ideas and concepts to the organization; everyone is always open and willing to help problem solve and find resolution to problems on every level. PPV is a "comfortable" organization to work with, with no rigid standards or expectations to restrain you. I have the freedom to operate my team and develop my employee and client culture based upon my individual clinic's needs. Having worked in both private and corporate practices in the past, I can say without a doubt that working with PPV has been an amazing experience and the best career move I have ever made! I intend to be a part of PPV for as long as possible as I cannot imagine a more supportive, empowering organization to work with. I absolutely trust in the honesty and integrity of the PPV leadership team, knowing they have everyone's best interest in mind.

Dr. Michelle ShoemakerOlympia, WAI am so happy that our clinic joined People, Pets & Vets. We have been thrilled with the additional support gained in IT, marketing, human resources, financial management, and overall operations. I can now focus on the things that I love doing and put quality time into my wonderful patients and clients on a day to day basis. I still have the opportunity to manage the clinic, making critical day to day decisions. Even with advancements in support, our clinic culture has remained untouched. Our transition to PPV was seamless with no changes seen by our clients. Our staff is seeing improvements in their overall benefits packages and our supply costs are improving as PPV continues to grow. PPV is a unique group that is passionate about doing what is right, serving others, and helping each clinic reach its highest potential. It is comforting to have a large network of veterinarians within our group that I can consult with on cases and refer cases to. I am excited about the future of PPV and what we can do together as a team!
