Meet PPV’s Newest Regional Medical Director

Congratulations to Dr. John Calhoun of North Carrollton Veterinary Hospital (NCVH) for being promoted to Texas/Arizona regional medical director! In this new role Dr. Calhoun will act as a valuable clinical resource to medical directors and associate veterinarians within the People, Pets, and Vets hospitals of Texas and Arizona (currently 12 hospitals and growing). He will work closely with the regional operations manager to ensure seamless clinical support to each hospital to help ensure quality patient outcomes.

Along with continuing to practice medicine at NCVH as the medical director, Dr. Calhoun will also be available to assist his region of hospitals resolve conflicts, provide oversight of controlled drug procedures, recruit amazing team members, and act as the veterinary liaison for potential acquisitions.

Dr. John Calhoun graduated from Texas A&M University in 1990 and joined the NCVH team in 1991. His specialties include endocrinology and cardiology. In his spare time, he enjoys martial arts, being a member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Texas Association of Veterinary Practitioners, and serving on the board of directors for the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association (DCVMA), and the North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic.
